From Dan Patrick...
"I grew up near Cincinnati. My baseball team was
the Reds. But KMOX was such a strong signal out of St. Louis that I have

"Jack Buck
died Tuesday at age 77. It's odd how sad you can feel at the passing of
someone you never met.

of Fame. By reputation, Buck put forth irony, a fluent phrase, and a brave
front under pressure."

in nearly five decades as a broadcaster rose from Harry Caray's sidekick
to a St. Louis institution, died Tuesday night after a long hospital stay.
He was 77."

life for generations of Cardinals fans. Each season he took us from April
to October.

From Kevin Horrigan...
It was an
amazing sight Thursday, those thousands of people marching through the
right field wagon gate at Busch Stadium, filing around the warning track
to pay their last respects to Jack Buck. Jack would have been touched. He
would also have been amused.
