Sportsman's
Park (1892) - National League Team
|
- The first season in the National League was played at the former
home of the St. Louis Browns. This ball park was located at
the same location as the later Sportsman's Park at Dodier and
Grand. (I'm working on finding more information about this
first-generation ballpark.)

Robison
Field
(1893 to 1920) - National League Team
|
- This park was between Prairie Avenue, Natural Bridge Avenue,
Fairground Park, Vandeventer, and Lexington. (I'm working on
finding images of this ballpark.)

Sportsman's
Park
(1920 to 1966) - National League Team
|
- Shared with the St. Louis Browns, this ballpark was home to the
Cardinals for nearly 46 years. It's one true claim-to-fame is
that it played host to all seven games of the 1944
World Series. It was known as Busch Stadium from 1953 to
1966, after August Busch bought it and renamed it.

Busch
Stadium
(1966 to 2005) - National League Team
|
- Opened in 1966 as a multi-purpose stadium, the ballpark is
actually the second Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The original was
known as Sportsman’s Park until August Busch purchased it from the
St. Louis Browns in 1953 and changed the name to Busch Stadium.
|
| New
Busch Stadium (2006 to present)
- National League Team |
- Slated to be open in time for the 2006 season, the brand new
baseball-only stadium is built partially-overlapping the site of its
predecessor. More information can be found on the official St.
Louis Cardinals website (here).
